Julija Sadaunykaite is a Lithuanian pianist, a Grand Prix winner of the Malta Valletta International Piano Competition. She studied at Vilnius Academy of Music and Universitaet Mozarteum in Salzburg with prof. P.Lang. Julija holds two master’s degrees: one from Vytautas Magnus University, where she studied with prof. D. Racys, and the second one from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she studied with prof. F. Fali and was admitted with the full scholarship. In year 2022 Julija started her advanced postgraduate studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with prof. Marianna Shirinyan.

Sadaunykaite won the Ramsay Calder Debussy Prize and got the second prize at the Bamber/Galloway piano competition at the RCS, the UK. In 2019 she got the third prize at the International Euterpe Piano Competition, in Italy.

Julija has given solo and chamber music concerts in Lithuania, Poland, Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Malta, Denmark, The United States of America, The United Kingdom, and China. She has also participated in various classical music festivals (Yamaha Piano week in China, ‘FairPlay’, ‘Aurora’ in Sweden, ‘Cracow Music Summer’ in Poland, ‘Young talents’, ‘Vilnius Chamber Music Festival’, Birštonas summer music festival in Lithuania etc.), and masterclasses with exceptional artists:  S. Kovacevich, E. Leonskaja, Ch. Elton, P. Devoyon, J. Lowenthal, J. Martin, M. Hughes, K. Hashimoto, Yura Lee among others. In 2023-2024 season Julija played in Laudon castle and Boessendorfer salon in Vienna, Austria; The Smetana Hall in Prague, Czech Republic; appeared as a soloist with Cremerata Prague chamber orchestra and RDAM symphony orchestra.

Julija is a lecturer at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Apart from her playing activities, Julija is a Red Cross volunteer.
